A Little Bit About Us...»Our MissionOSU Computer Helpdesk provides computer support to Oregon State University students, staff, and faculty. We are available by phone and email. We are a "quick help" service, so we're not able to fully instruct you on how to use your computer or software, but are happy to help troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise. We aim to address computer problems before they become an obstacle to learning or productivity. »What We DoWe provide software assistance on a variety of operating systems and software products, including internet tools, spyware and virus removal, software applications, ONID, and Blackboard. Depending on their experience, consultants may attempt to answer questions about unsupported software, but they can only spend a limited amount of time on these types of questions. »Laptop Support ServicesThe OSU Computer Helpdesk now offers laptop support. Students, faculty and staff can bring their personal laptop to us for diagnosis and virus/spyware removal. We have a Walk-up desk on the 2nd floor of the Valley Library for students. More information about it can be found at the Walk-up Page. Staff can bring their personal laptops to our phone center in the 4th floor administration office of the Valley Library. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to provide hardware repair, on-site visits or individual tutoring; nor will we work on University owned laptops. If you are a faculty or staff member with a departmentally owned laptop, we suggest you contact your Departmental Computer Administrator (DCA) or IT Manager for assistance. We can also refer you to external resources including books, local vendors, and web sites. »Contact Us!If you have questions or comments about our services, please contact us. »Visit us on Facebook! We are now on Facebook.
