How to configure the Wireless Network in
Windows 9X/ME/2000

Note: Each brand of card has its own setup utility. For every Brand of card you will need to check two settings.
1. Set the Network Name or SSID is set to OSU_PUB.
2. Make sure data encryption (WEP) is disabled.
If you are not sure how to check the settings, consult the manual that came with your card.
Below are two examples of common setup utilities.

Example 1

1. Open the setup utility that came with your card. Click on the Configuration tab.

Note: when you open the utility, it may only put an Icon in the Taskbar.

2. Set the SSID to OSU_PUB.

2. Click the Encryption Tab. Make sure encryption (WEP) is disabled.

3. Click OK to finish.

Example 2

1. Open the setup utility that came with your card. Click on the Actions menu and select Add/Edit Configuration Profile.

Note: when you open the utility, it may only put an Icon in the Taskbar.

2. Click a profile and name it OSU_PUB. Click the Edit Profile button.

3. Enter OSU_PUB for the Network Name.

4. Click on the Encryption Tab. Make sure Enable Data Security is turned off.

5. Click OK to finish.
