Hummingbird - Excel 2007 export
Directions to setup BI Query to export into Excel 2007
For those that use Hummingbird Data Warehouse, a minor fix is required to make the Export to Excel feature work once you have been upgraded to Office 2007.
These changes must be made in each model you use this features in.
From the menu

Click on Tools

Click on Preferences

From the preferences pane
Click the Export Options button

From the Export Options window

Click the down arrow under Application and change it to “Microsoft Excel”

Click the “…” button under Execute Command Line and browse to the Excel EXE file. The normal location for the Excel.exe file is "C:\program files\microsoft office\office12\EXCEL.EXE"

Click open once you have selected "Excel.exe"

Make sure DDE is selected under commands.

Click OK to close the Export Options window.

Click OK to close the Preferences window.
If you want to save this setting into a model you must make another change that allows saving the model.
Example:

Click on Host in the menu.

Click on Connections
-
Click the Default button twice.

Close the connections window.

You should now have the option to save the model.
Once you have a query up you can right click on the results and choose Export.
It will open an Excel window with the data.
