Automatic Installation Instructions

Automatic Removal of Oracle 9.2.0.1 Client: ( Installation Documentation )

This batch file runs the Universal Installer in the background and silently removes Oracle 9.2.0.1 using a pre-filled out response file. If you have different versions of the Oracle client the same process will work with some additional minor changes to the response file. Browse to the install folder and review remove.rsp if you would like to remove a different version.

Automatic Install of Oracle 10.2.0.1: ( Installation Documentation )

This batch file launches the Universal Installer with a pre-defined response file. The TNSNames.ora file is backed up to C:\DW-Backup and then restored once the install has finished.

Automatic BI Query 9 Install: ( Installation Documentation )

The automatic installer for BI Query 9 will install the latest version of BI Query and prompt to remove prior versions installed on the system. The latest version is called 9.0.2 but will report as 9.0.1.0345 in the Help, About menu.

BI Query 9 Hotfix - Dual Core and Multi-Processor Hotfix: ( No Installation Documentation Necessary )

This hotfix has been provided by OpenText to resolve the random crashing problems that customers have been experiencing on dual core and multi-processor workstations while using BI Query 9. Please close BI Query prior to applying this patch. Your version will remain unchanged at '9.0.2' (9.0.1.0345).

Sample Datamodel Installation: ( Installation Documentation )

This will begin the setup of the sample RetailGolf data model. This will be used by customers when Enterprise Computing begins to offer web-training to campus customers.

Automated DWModels Migration Tool: ( Installation Documentation )

This batch file streamlines the migration from C:\GQLOSUDW to C:\DWModels. A backup is created at C:\DW-Backup by the batch file, but it is recommended that your models are backed up prior to doing this.

New DWModels Install Tool: - ( Installation Documentation )

The datawarehouse team is discontinuing the use of the C:\GQLOSUDW folder structure. A new folder structure will be created by this installer populated with the latest models and connection files in the new C:\DWModels location. This process will not backup current models or migrate an existing installation of C:\GQLOSUDW or C:\DWModels into the new structure. This should only be done on computers that do not currently have datawarehouse models installed. If you currently have models installed please use the Automated DWModels Migration tool, or manually configure the new C:\DWModels folder.
