- A dialog box appears asking you to enter the address of the
server you want to connect to. Type 128.193.4.23, then press
the 'Connect' button.

- A window will appear asking which User Authentication Mechanism
(U.A.M.) you wish to use to login to SoftDist. You already have
the 'Apple Standard U.A.M.' but it does not pass your username
and password to the server quite as securely as 'Microsoft Authentication
V5.0'. We recommend that you update your Mac's U.A.M. to the
Microsoft on as soon as possible.

- Select your preferred 'log on' method and then click on the
'OK' button.

The authentication window appears (the 'Microsoft
Authentication V 5.0' one is shown below, yours may look different).
Type in your username and password, then click the 'Connect'
button.
