- In the 'Map Network Drive' dialog box, select an unused driver
letter and then type '\\softdist2\pc' (without the quotation
marks) in the 'Folder' part of the dialog box. Do not check
the 'Reconnect at logon' check box.

- Click the 'Finish' button.
Note: If you are unable to connect, try "\\softdist2.tss.oregonstate.edu\pc"
as the path.

- A dialog box (shown below) appears, asking you for your login
credentials for the Software Distribution server. Fill in the
user name (type in SOFTDIST\username) and password you were
give to access the Software Distribution server.

- Click the 'OK' button. You have just successfully mapped a
local drive to the Software Distribution server. To install
software, select this drive in Windows Explorer and navigate
to the subdirectory where the software you want is located.
